About Chalice
Meet Crystal Bulluck
Founder, Research Director & Security Lead
Crystal Bulluck
Crystal Bulluck is the founder and research director of Chalice, a multidisciplinary sole proprietorship she established in February 2021. With nearly six years of hands-on experience spanning environmental consulting, security operations, botanical wellness, and independent research, Crystal brings a rare combination of field expertise and entrepreneurial vision to every engagement.
Crystal's environmental career is rooted in direct field work. She has served as a construction technician and inspector with Rock Creek Conservancy, completing property assessments for DC Water contract qualifications, installing rain barrels, and applying green infrastructure best management practices. She has also conducted site inspections and maintenance for DC Department of Transportation contracts, and performed daily data analysis across multiple park locations in Washington, D.C.
Her urban agriculture background includes roles as Farm Manager with Washington Parks & People, where she maintained organic produce operations, implemented sustainable agricultural practices, and hosted community volunteer events. She also completed a Garden Manager Apprenticeship with DC UrbanGreens, Inc., gaining hands-on experience in urban farming, pest management, compost systems, and mobile market vending.
As Research Director at Chalice, Crystal leads a group of research volunteers conducting studies on topics including the decriminalization of plant medicines, their medical benefits, and their historical use in indigenous communities worldwide. She also serves as security lead and head of security operations, overseeing hiring, HR compliance, threat assessment, executive protection protocols, and business financing.
Crystal's security expertise spans international security operations, executive and asset protection, risk and threat assessment, crisis management, HR compliance, and armed and unarmed security operations. She brings a rigorous, intelligence-informed approach to every engagement — from personnel security planning to on-the-ground operational oversight.
Alongside her security and environmental work, Crystal is a trained and certified spiritual practitioner whose practice is rooted in the healing intelligence of crystals. She works with raw and tumbled stones, intentionally designed crystal grids, and vibrational frequency techniques to identify, clear, and amplify energy within the body and environment. Her crystal healing sessions are tailored to each client's unique energetic signature — addressing blockages, restoring flow, and supporting alignment across the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes.
Crystal is also a certified Reiki energy healing practitioner, trained in channeling universal life force energy to promote deep relaxation, accelerate healing, and restore energetic balance. Her broader spiritual practice integrates ancestral and indigenous spiritual traditions — honoring the wisdom of lineages that have long understood the relationship between the natural world and human wellbeing. As an intuitive consultant, she offers clients personalized spiritual guidance, aura readings, and chakra balancing sessions that bridge the metaphysical with the practical. Her meditation and mindfulness facilitation work supports individuals and groups in cultivating presence, clarity, and inner resilience.
Crystal's independent contractor services span computer specialist work, international security, legal analysis and research, project and product management, contract data analysis, green construction inspection, website and social media management, agricultural and farm management, and the performing arts.
